What is Consent Mode v2 and do I need it?
If you have visitors in the EU or UK and you run Google Ads or Analytics, yes. It tells Google whether a visitor agreed to tracking, so measurement stops when they decline and Google Ads can still model conversions correctly. Without it, campaign measurement degrades and you may be collecting data y
Can you build the banner without a plugin or a monthly subscription?
Yes. I can code the consent banner directly into your site, so there is no subscription and nothing to renew. It is included from the Standard package. If you already pay for Cookiebot, CookieYes or a similar tool, I connect Consent Mode to that instead and you keep what you have.
I already have a cookie banner. Will you replace it?
No, I keep it. Connecting Consent Mode v2 to a banner you already have is exactly what the Basic package covers, delivered in one day. I only build a new banner if you want to stop paying a subscription, and that is the Standard package.
Which platforms do you work with?
WordPress, Next.js, Shopify and plain HTML sites. For WordPress I work in the theme or a child theme rather than adding another plugin. Send me your site address before ordering and I will confirm it is a fit.
Can the banner be in more than one language?
Yes. The banner can switch language with the rest of your site. Up to three languages are included in the Premium package, and extra languages can be added to any package. I work in English, German and Bulgarian, and I can implement any language if you supply the wording.
Will I be able to see that it works?
Yes. I deliver with a screenshot of the real event in your reports, plus a short note explaining where to look next time.
What counts as a conversion?
Whatever matters to you: a form submission, a phone tap, a booking, a purchase. Tell me and I'll set it up and verify it fires.
I don't have GA4 at all yet.
That's fine - creating the property and data stream is part of the job, on any package.
What do you need from me to start?
Your site address, admin access (or FTP for a coded banner), and access to your Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts if they already exist. If anything is missing I will tell you exactly what to create. Most orders start within a few hours of the message.
Do you set up Google Ads campaigns too?
I do not run or manage campaigns. What I do is make sure Google Ads receives consent signals and conversions correctly, so the campaigns your team or agency runs are measured properly. That is included from the Premium package.
