FAQ
Will you work on my live store or can you test the changes first?
I never build straight on your live store. Shopify's AI toolkit writes to production with no draft mode and no rollback, which is how most stores get broken. I duplicate your theme, do the shopify claude code work there, and send you a preview link. It only goes live after you approve it.
.What do you need from me before you can start?
Three things: Your store URL, Collaborator access (I send the request code in chat, you approve it in your admin), and 1 clear sentence about what is broken or what you want built. If the store is password-protected, send the password too. That is enough for me to scope the job properly.
Do I need my own Claude subscription for the Shopify mcp setup?
No. I run claude code on my own licence to do the work. If you want the Shopify mcp servers connected to your own account afterwards so you can make small changes yourself, I set that up and walk you through it. That is included from the Standard package up.
What actually is Shopify mcp and why would I want it?
MCP servers let Claude ai talk directly to your store: Read live products, orders and inventory, and work on theme code. Once it is wired up, you can ask for a change in English instead of queueing a developer for every small tweak. I set up the Dev, Admin, Storefront and Customer Account servers.
My store is slow and I do not know why. Can you find the cause?
Yes, and that is usually the Basic package. Most slowdowns come from stacked apps, render-blocking scripts, oversized images or leftover code from a removed app. I diagnose the actual cause, fix it, and send a short video showing what was wrong so you are not just taking my word for it.
Can you move a Claude, Lovable or plain HTML build onto Shopify?
Yes. Send me the build or a link and I will tell you which parts port cleanly into Shopify liquid and which need rebuilding, before you order. Static layouts usually convert well; anything with its own backend or auth needs rethinking around Shopify's own checkout and customer accounts.
How many pages does each package cover?
Basic is 1 fix or 1 feature. Standard covers a homepage or product page redesign plus the Shopify mcp setup. Premium is a multi-page store redesign with the full MCP stack, one Shopify automation and 2 weeks of support. If your job sits between two tiers, message me and I will tell you which one fit
What happens if the problem turns out to be unfixable?
It happens, usually when a paid app or a third-party script is the real cause and I cannot change their code. If I find that before starting, I tell you and we cancel rather than burn your order. If I find it mid-job, I deliver the diagnosis, the workaround if one exists, and tell you who can fix it
Will I own the code, or am I locked into you afterwards?
You own everything. I hand over the source, and from Standard up a CLAUDE.md file that documents how the store is wired. Any shopify developer, or your own claude ai setup, can pick it up from there. I do not install anything that only I can maintain.
How fast do you reply, and how often will I hear from you?
I reply within about an hour during my working day. On a Standard or Premium build you get an update at the halfway point and a preview link before anything is published, so you are never waiting in silence wondering whether it is going well.
