Inventory Operations Manager

SafeSite Facilities Ltd • Full-time

Mar 2023 - Present • 3 yrs 7 mos

Inventory and Operations Manager with responsibility for controlling more than 1,000 hire and sale SKUs across SafeSite Facilities’ Warwick operation. I inherited an inventory environment where reported stock accuracy was 37.5% and developed a structured stock-control and continuous-improvement system that increased accuracy to 90.82%. Over the same period, the discrepancy rate reduced from 62.5% to 9.18%—an 85% reduction. I designed and implemented a monthly management dashboard, repeat-error analysis, SKU priority scoring, root-cause tracking and corrective-action controls. These tools transformed routine stock counts into a practical management system that identifies persistent discrepancies, separates stock gains from losses, assigns priorities and tracks issues through to verified closure. My wider responsibilities include cycle counting, stock reconciliation, Syrinx data integrity, inbound and outbound control, returns, water-filled barrier inspection and testing records, PFEP development, warehouse layout improvements, SOP creation and weekly KPI reporting. Recent reporting covered more than 400 stock counts per month while maintaining accuracy above 90%. Repeat-variance exposure reduced by 57.6% in September, with 25 previous repeat offenders not recurring. My focus is not simply correcting stock figures—it is identifying why errors occur, improving the underlying process and creating controls that prevent them from returning.
