"Can you work with my existing codebase, or only build from scratch?"
Both. I can audit and extend an existing project, though I'll flag upfront if the existing code needs refactoring before new features are safely added.
"Do you provide hosting/deployment, or just the code?"
I deploy to production (Vercel, or your preferred host) and set up the database, but ongoing hosting costs are billed separately to your accounts — I don't cover infrastructure fees.
"What happens after the project is delivered — do you offer support?"
Yes — I stand behind my work. If a bug shows up in what I delivered, I'm available to fix it, no time limit attached. Ongoing maintenance or new feature requests are a separate arrangement.
"Do I own the code and database once the project is done?"
Yes — full ownership transfers to you on final payment, including source code and any credentials I set up.
"What do you need from me to get started?"
A clear description of core features/user flows, and any brand assets (logo, colors) if design matters. I can also help shape a rough idea into a spec if you don't have one yet.
"How do you handle scope changes mid-project?"
I quote based on an agreed spec. Mid-project additions are scoped and priced separately so timelines stay predictable for both of us.
