What file formats do I need to send you for a review?
Send your native design files; KiCad project files, Altium project files, or EasyEDA JSON exports. You can also send Gerber files, but native source files allow me to check the schematic against the layout simultaneously, which gives a much more thorough review.
My PCB was designed by someone else and I am not sure what software they used. Can you still review it?
Yes. If you can export Gerber files and a schematic PDF, I can run a DFM and visual review. If you have the native files in any major PCB tool, I can open them directly. Share what you have and I will confirm before you order.
What is DFM and why does it matter?
DFM-Design for Manufacturing. It checks whether your PCB can actually be built by a manufacturer without issues, things like minimum trace widths, drill sizes, pad sizes, annular rings, and courtyard overlaps. A PCB that fails DFM gets rejected by the manufacturer or manufactured with defects.
I have already received manufactured boards that are not working. Can you help identify why?
Yes. Share your schematic, layout, and a description of the failure symptom. I will review the design to identify likely root causes whether that is a schematic error, layout mistake, component issue, or a manufacturing defect.
