I don't skim your book to give you general comments at the end. I read everything in detail and focus on how the story actually feels while reading it. In my inline comments I'll let you know which passages fully immersed me and which made me want to skim.
To provide you with the best feedback, I focus on the genres I love the most. I will beta read romance, fantasy and sapphic books in both English and German.
What I focus on:
- Emotional impact: I'll let you know where I feel for the characters and where the story doesn't move me emotionally.
- Character consistency & logic: I'll point out inconsistencies and logical issues that might pull readers out of the story.
- Reader flow: I'll comment on anything disrupting my flow whether it's due to pacing, phrasing or worldbuilding gaps.

Which genres do you accept and which do you avoid?
I love romance, fantasy and sapphic books :) I will not read horror in any form. For other genres, I decide on a book-by-book basis. Please send me a message before ordering to check if we are a good fit.
Will you edit, proofread or fix my grammar?
No, I will give you feedback from a reader's perspective regarding pacing, character consistency, emotional impact and your specific requirements. However, I will not edit, proofread or fix grammar.
What does a "revision" mean for a beta reading gig?
I will gladly answer any follow-up questions about my feedback so you can use it as efficiently as possible. However, I will not re-read your entire manuscript or review a rewritten version.
Is my story safe with you? Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, your story is 100 % safe with me. I respect your intellectual property, keep all manuscripts strictly confidential, and will gladly sign your NDA if needed.
What if my book is longer than 80,000 words?

Do you read unfinished manuscripts?
Yes! I absolutely accept unfinished manuscripts. I will give you honest feedback on your chapters so far to help you develop and grow your story.
