Will the script change my original files?
No. It reads your input files and creates a separate output. Identifiers remain text in the CSV. When opening the result in Excel, import identifier columns as text to prevent Excel from dropping leading zeros.
What do I need to run the script?
A computer with Python 3.10 or newer and access to your local CSV files. I include a command to run it and an example. This package does not include remote access, software installation, a packaged desktop app, or ongoing hosting.
