What files or details do I need to provide to start?
You can share hand-drawn sketches, reference photos, PDF dimension sheets, or exact digital board dimensions (e.g., for custom PCB enclosures). If you have physical components or board files, sending their dimensions or 3D models (STEP/DXF) ensures a perfect fit!
What if I only have a rough idea or concept, but no sketch or drawing?
Don't worry at all! You don't need technical sketches or engineering knowledge to get started. Just send me a message describing what your project needs to do, any rough dimensions, or photos of similar products. We will brainstorm and develop the idea together into a functional 3D CAD design!
Will my 3D printable files be ready to slice and print immediately?
Yes! Every 3D printing output is delivered as a STL or 3MF file with appropriate wall thickness, print orientation considerations, and realistic tolerance clearances tailored for FDM or SLA printing.
Can you design laser-cut enclosures?
Absolutely. I provide fully nested 2D vector files (DXF/SVG/PDF) designed specifically for laser cutting acrylic, plywood, or sheet metal—complete with finger joints, T-slot nut traps, and kerf clearance allowances.
What file formats will I receive with my order?
Depending on your package, you will receive standard 3D CAD exchange files (STEP, IGES, STL), 2D vector graphics (DXF), technical drawings (PDF), and parametric source files upon request.
What if my project requires custom hardware like screws, inserts, or hinges?
I integrate standard off-the-shelf metric hardware (M2–M5 bolts, heat-set brass threaded inserts, bearings, springs, and snap-rings) into your 3D design so that real-world assembly is seamless.
