Trilingual Offline-First Marketplace for Rural Farmers (Android App) Overview I designed and built a full-scale Android marketplace from scratch to solve digital access challenges for rural farming communities. The platform enables farmers to list, browse, and trade goods, even in low or no internet environments. What I Did - Architected the entire product as the technical founder, from concept to deployment - Built an offline-first Android app (Kotlin + local database) to ensure reliability in poor connectivity regions - Designed an accessibility-first UI using: - Emoji-based navigation for intuitive use - Voice input for non-technical users - Developed a custom “Agent Mode”: - Enables village leaders to manage listings for multiple farmers on one device - Engineered the cloud backend (Supabase + Vercel): - Real-time syncing of market prices - Scalable infrastructure for future growth Key Impact - Bridged digital access gaps for underserved farming communities - Enabled real-time price visibility and improved market participation - Reduced dependency on constant internet connectivity Tech Stack Kotlin • Android • Supabase • Vercel • Offline-first Architecture • Local Databases • UX for Low-Literacy Users
