I will clean your excel or CSV data with a correction log
About this Gig
Turn an inconsistent CSV or flat Excel worksheet into organized, reviewable data.
You receive prepared data, an exception list, a correction log and row-count reconciliation. Original records are preserved. Missing values and conflicting IDs are flagged for your decision rather than guessed.
Cleanup includes surrounding whitespace, approved date and number formats, category mappings, and removal of exact duplicates under agreed rules. Identifiers stay as text. Zero and negative amounts remain intact.
Basic: one file, up to 100 rows and 10 columns.
Standard: one file, up to 200 rows and 20 columns.
Premium: up to 300 rows and 20 columns, plus a reusable CSV Python script, rules file and run guide.
Each package includes one revision against the agreed rules. Web research, scraping, fuzzy matching, dashboards and live CRM changes are separate scope.
Please send a redacted 20-row sample before ordering so we can confirm scope, key fields, locale, output format and data-handling requirements. Portfolio examples use synthetic data.
FAQ
What do you need before starting?
One CSV or flat Excel worksheet, column definitions, key fields, required values, approved categories, date and number conventions, duplicate rules and the expected output. Send a redacted 20-row sample before ordering so scope and data-handling requirements can be confirmed.
Will you fill missing values or resolve conflicting IDs?
Missing values and conflicting IDs are retained and flagged for your decision. I do not guess or invent data. Exact duplicates are removed only under the agreed rules, and every correction is logged.
Can I repeat the cleanup on future exports?
Premium includes a Python 3 CSV script, a rules file and a run guide for exports with the same schema and approved rules. New columns, changed formats or additional requirements need a separate scope review.
What does one revision cover?
One revision covers corrections to the delivered result using the original file and agreed rules. A new source file, additional rows, new cleanup rules or a different deliverable requires a separate quote.
