FAQ
I only have a sketch is that enough to start?
Yes. A sketch or even just a floor area and brief description is enough for a Basic or Standard estimate. The more detail you provide, the more accurate the output. I'll always state my assumptions clearly so you know exactly what the numbers are based on.
How accurate will the estimate be?
At concept/feasibility stage, expect ±10–15% accuracy — which is industry standard for this level of information. As drawings develop, accuracy improves. I'll tell you the confidence level in every deliverable so there are no surprises.
Can you estimate projects outside Kenya?
Yes. I use location factors and internationally benchmarked rates. Send me your project location and I'll confirm before you order.
Will the estimate be accepted by my bank or funder?
The Standard and Premium outputs are structured and documented to a level most funders and quantity surveying practices will accept as a preliminary cost plan. For formal loan applications, I recommend the Premium package which includes a funder-ready summary sheet.
What if my project scope changes after I order?
Minor changes within the same scope are covered by revisions. If the scope significantly expands, I'll send a revised quote before proceeding — no surprise charges.
