Most "Shopify app" gigs deliver a script tag and call it an app. A real app has OAuth with the right scopes, a billing plan that survives Shopify review, webhooks that are verified and idempotent, and GDPR endpoints that answer.

  • - Webhooks: HMAC verified, idempotent, retry-safe

  • - The mandatory GDPR webhooks that get apps rejected when missing
