What cloud platforms do you support?
AWS (RDS, Aurora, Redshift) and Azure (Azure SQL, Managed Instance). Let me know your platform in the order requirements — the audit approach differs slightly between them.
What access do you need?
Read-only access to your cloud console/billing dashboard (IAM role or Azure reader role is enough) — no write or admin access required. If you can't grant direct access, exported usage/billing reports work too.
Will this cause any downtime or risk to production?
No — this is a read-only audit. I don't make changes to your environment. You'll receive recommendations to review and implement on your own schedule, or hire me separately to execute them.
Can you guarantee a specific cost savings percentage?
No — savings depend on your current setup and how over-provisioned it is. I'll give you a realistic estimate based on actual usage data, not a marketing number.
Do you need production access, or is a staging environment okay?
Production usage data gives the most accurate picture since staging often doesn't reflect real load. If production access isn't possible, staging plus recent production metrics/logs also works.
What format is the final report in?
A written report (PDF) with findings, cost breakdown, and prioritized recommendations ranked by impact and effort. Premium tier includes a follow-up call to walk through it.
Do you implement the recommendations too?
Not included in this gig — it's an audit and recommendation set. If you want implementation, message me after delivery and we can scope that separately.
