How will you handle authentication and security in the API?
Based on the packages, I use the Django's default basic authentication system, Token-based authentication or as per your own wish respectively. For security, I use form/serializer validation and Django's security measures against XSS, DDOS and SQL Injection attacks.
What are the prerequisites for you to start working?
Just enough details so that I could easily understand your needs and requirements.
How do you test the API to ensure it is working correctly?
I test manually using Postman and I also create Unit tests based on the test cases which are helpful to catch any bugs in the APIs.

I follow the following procedure to develop clean, efficient & RESTful API: 1. I understand the project requirements properly 2. I create software designs to visualize the entities and workflows 3. I create test cases 4. I write code 5. I create unit tests 6. I document APIs 7. I do a final test
