I will develop a playable 2d godot game prototype with core mechanics

About this gig
Do you have a game concept but need to see it in action before committing to full development? I build clean, playable 2D prototypes in Godot Engine that bring your core mechanics to life perfect for testing ideas, pitching to investors, or laying the foundation for a full game.
What I Offer:
- Player movement and controls
- ️ Combat and attack mechanics
- Basic enemy AI and behaviors
- ️ Health, damage, and death systems
- Collectibles, items, and pickups
- ️ Basic level and environment setup
- Interactive objects and gameplay systems
- Core gameplay loop
- Basic UI elements such as health bars, counters, and menus
- Basic sound and animation integration
- Simple game-state systems where required
I focus on creating playable, organized, and easy-to-expand Godot prototypes rather than just isolated mechanics. The goal is to give you a solid foundation that you can continue developing into a full game.
You can provide your own assets, or I can build the prototype using simple placeholder assets where appropriate.

FAQ
Do I need to provide game assets (art, sound, etc.)?
No, that's not required. I can build your prototype using free/placeholder assets so we can focus on testing the core mechanics first. If you have your own sprites, sound effects, or UI elements, I'm happy to integrate them instead.
: What information do you need from me before starting?
A short description of your game concept, the core mechanic(s) you want to test, and your target platform (PC, Web, or Mobile). Reference games or a simple design doc help too, but aren't required — I can help refine a rough idea into a clear scope
Can you work in GDScript or C#?
Yes, both. I default to GDScript for most 2D prototypes since it's lightweight and fast to iterate with, but I can build in C# if that fits your team's existing codebase better.
