About this Gig
Is your TFT display flickering, staying dark, or drawing too much power on your own board? Most issues come from interface routing, the backlight circuit, or the FPC pinout, not the panel.
I design TFT display PCBs with LED backlight drivers for embedded products, IoT devices, instruments and HMI panels. I work from your panel datasheet to a board ready for fabrication.
What you get:
- Display interface design: SPI, 8-bit or 16-bit parallel (8080) or RGB
- FPC connector footprint and pin mapping to your panel
- LED backlight boost driver with PWM dimming, set to your LED string
- Capacitive or resistive touch interface
- Power rails, ESD protection and decoupling
- Schematic and layout in KiCad or Altium
- Gerber, drill, BOM, pick-and-place and PDF schematic
Platforms: ESP32, ESP32-S3, STM32, RP2040, nRF52.
Display firmware, GUI and panel init code are not included in standard packages and are quoted separately.
Send your panel part number, interface type and MCU and I will confirm feasibility before you order.
FAQ
Which display interfaces do you support?
SPI, 8-bit or 16-bit parallel (8080) and RGB (16/18/24-bit). LVDS and MIPI DSI are handled by custom offer after a feasibility check.
Can you design the backlight driver?
Yes. I design a boost constant-current LED driver with PWM dimming, sized to your panel's LED string current and voltage.
Do you support touch?
Yes. Capacitive touch controllers over I2C and resistive touch controllers over SPI, with the correct reset and interrupt lines.
Which MCUs and software do you use?
ESP32, ESP32-S3, STM32, RP2040 and nRF52. Layout in KiCad or Altium, EasyEDA on request.
What manufacturing files do I receive?
Gerbers, drill files, BOM, pick-and-place file and a PDF schematic.
Can you adapt an existing display board?
Yes. Send your schematic, layout and the panel datasheet. I review and send a custom offer.
Is firmware or a GUI included?
No. Panel init code, graphics libraries and UI are quoted separately once I know your MCU and panel.
