About me
He was born in İstanbul, in 1979 . He started his violin education at the age of 7 at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory. He also studied composition and orchestral conducting during his violin training. He studied except the conservatory learning with maestro Orhan Salliel, Antonio Pirolli and Serdar Yalcin. He is member of Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Orchestra. He also works as orchestra conductor and arranger in various in-state or outside projects.

another delightful experience working with kurugullu- this time I needed transcription of oboe and acoustic guitar and then a string arrangement based upon those patterns- and the results are lovely, fluid and very musical. it's always a pleasure working with him!

Ulas is superb. I wanted a complex score for harp, woodwinds, and strings adapted to become a string quartet. he worked quickly and clearly as he generated scores the players. I'm very grateful to him for his professionalism.

Another delightful experience with kurugullu; this time we tried something new- I sent him vocal harmonies and asked him to mirror what they were doing on strings- the results were really careful, musical and compelling- I'm so pleased that we have been able to collaborate in this manner.

Another fantastic experience working with Kurugullu - I shared a very elaborate set of MIDI files for a complex composition with many sections and he created a really striking, tasteful and very musical arrangement that translated my suggestions into a really compelling final form- I can't recommend him highly enough.
