I will find and fix bugs in your native android app

About this gig
Got a bug that won't go away? I'll find it, fix it, and make sure it stays fixed.
I'm an Android Tech Lead with 5+ years of professional experience, currently leading Android development on a high-traffic production app. I work daily with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and native Android internals including deeper C/C++ systems work most mobile developers don't touch.
Whether it's a crash you can't reproduce, a layout that breaks on certain devices, a state bug that only shows up sometimes, or an ANR you can't pin down I'll dig in methodically, find the actual root cause (not just patch the symptom), and fix it.
What I typically handle:
- Crashes and force-closes
- UI/layout bugs across screen sizes
- State management issues (Compose or Views)
- Memory leaks and performance issues
- Intermittent / hard-to-reproduce bugs
- ANRs and threading issues
I'll need access to your source code (GitHub, GitLab, or a zip) and, ideally, a way to reproduce the issue crash logs, screen recording, or clear repro steps help a lot.
Send me a message with what's going wrong before ordering if you're not sure which package fits happy to scope it out first.

FAQ
Do you need access to my full codebase, or can I just send the relevant files?
Full repo access (or at least the relevant module) is strongly preferred. Bugs are often connected to code outside the file where they show up, so partial access can slow things down or lead to an incomplete fix.
What if the bug turns out to be bigger than expected once you start?
I'll let you know as soon as I find that out, before doing extra unscoped work. We can either adjust the package or add the "Extra bug fix" add-on — no surprise charges.
Do you fix bugs in apps built with XML Views, or only Compose?
Both. I work with legacy Views-based codebases as well as modern Compose apps.
Can you fix bugs found through Crashlytics or other crash reporting tools?
Yes
What do you need from me to get started?
Repo access, a way to reproduce the bug (steps, video, or logs), and a quick description of expected vs. actual behavior.
