What is the difference between domestication and foreign qualification?
Domestication changes the LLC’s legal home to another state. Foreign qualification keeps the original state registration and gives the same LLC authority to operate in an additional state.
Does every state allow LLC domestication?
No. The current and destination states must support the required route. If direct domestication is unavailable, I will identify the applicable alternative before any filing begins.
Does foreign qualification create a second LLC?
No. It normally registers your existing LLC as a foreign entity in another state. The LLC remains domestic in its formation state and may have filing obligations in both states.
Will my LLC keep its existing EIN after domestication?
An EIN may remain unchanged when the same legal entity continues, but ownership or structural changes can affect the IRS treatment. I will flag the issue, but tax advice or IRS determinations are outside this service.
Are government fees and state approval times included?
No. State fees, certificates, registered-agent charges and expedited processing are paid separately. My delivery covers the agreed preparation and submission work; approval timing belongs to the state agency.
