What Shopify plan do I need to import CSV files?
CSV imports are available on all Shopify plans, including Basic. You can access the import tool via Shopify Admin → Products → Import, or for customers via Customers → Import customers.
What format are the files delivered in?
Files are delivered as .csv (UTF-8 encoded) which is the format Shopify requires. You can open them in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool before importing if you want to review or edit them.
Is there a sample I can review first?
Yes — just ask in your email and I’ll send a small sample file (5–10 rows) showing the exact column structure before you commit to a full order.
How does the vendor catalog pipeline handle price or stock changes?
The pipeline compares each product’s current data in Shopify against the latest data from the vendor source. Only changed fields (price, stock, description, images) are updated — unchanged products are skipped to minimise API calls. You can also set rules to never overwrite fields you manage manuall
Can the pipeline run on my own server or cloud account?
Yes. The pipeline is delivered as self-contained Python scripts or containerised (Docker) and can run on your own server, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Hosting and setup guidance is included, or I can manage deployment as part of the project.
