Writing a Brazilian character, a scene in São Paulo or a story set in Brazil? I'll make sure it feels real to someone who actually lives here.
I'm a native Brazilian, born and raised in São Paulo, a voracious reader and a Product Manager by profession. I read your story and flag anything that would feel off, stereotyped or simply wrong to a Brazilian reader.
What I check:
Culture and everyday life: food, family dynamics, social habits, holidays
Language: Portuguese words, names, nicknames, slang and how people actually talk
Places: cities, neighborhoods, transport, climate and how they feel
Characters: whether your Brazilian characters feel like real people, not clichés
Stereotypes to avoid and how to fix them
You get comments along the text plus a clear report with suggestions.
Please note: Brazil is huge and diverse. I share my perspective as a white woman from São Paulo. For experiences I haven't lived (other regions, Afro-Brazilian or Indigenous experiences), I'll tell you honestly and point out where you'd benefit from another reader.

Do I need to send the whole manuscript?
Not necessarily. You can send only the chapters or scenes with Brazilian characters or settings, and I'll focus on those.
Can you check the Portuguese words in my story?
Yes! Portuguese is my native language, so I'll check spelling, accents and whether the words and expressions fit the context and the character.
Do you cover all of Brazil?
I know São Paulo and the Southeast best. For other regions, I'll share what I know and be clear about where a local reader would add more.
Do you use AI to read or write feedback?
The reading and all reactions are 100% mine. I may use tools to help polish the wording of my report, but your manuscript is never uploaded to AI tools.
Is my manuscript safe with you?
Yes. Your work is never shared, published or used for anything other than your feedback.
