Research Support, Scientific Figures and LaTeX Formatting
About this Gig
Need your Word or PDF converted to LaTeX, or help formatting an existing project?
As a research fellow at the University, I regularly use LaTeX to prepare and revise research papers and technical documents with equations, tables, figures and references.
Services include:
- Word and readable PDF to LaTeX conversion
- Journal, conference and university template formatting
- Equations, tables, figures and captions
- Sections, numbering and cross-references
- BibTeX and reference formatting
- Layout fixes and compilation troubleshooting
Every package includes an editable LaTeX project, supporting files and a compiled PDF. An Overleaf project link is available at no extra cost.
Packages cover up to 10, 25 or 45 source pages, with the equation and table limits listed in each package. Existing figures and supplied references are included.
For scans, handwriting, complex layouts, new template design or compilation repairs, please send the files before ordering. Suitable Python or MATLAB figure redrawing is quoted separately.
This service covers existing content. Original academic writing and substantial language editing are not included.

FAQ
What files can you convert to LaTeX?
I accept Word documents and readable PDFs. For scans or handwritten material, please send a sample before ordering so I can check readability and confirm the price.
Can you format or fix an existing LaTeX project?
Yes. I can tidy a project, adjust its layout, apply a supplied template and investigate compilation or reference errors. For debugging, send the complete project ZIP and error details before ordering so I can assess the issue and quote the work.
Can you use my journal, conference or university template?
Yes. Formatting with a supplied, working LaTeX template is included. Please provide the template files and relevant guidelines. Designing a new template from scratch is quoted separately.
What will I receive? Can I use Overleaf?
You will receive the editable LaTeX project, supporting files and compiled PDF. An Overleaf project link is available at no extra cost. For an existing Overleaf project, use its collaboration options; no account password is needed.
How are pages, equations and tables counted?
Pages follow your original document in a normal, readable layout; output page changes do not affect the price. Equation limits cover displayed equations, not ordinary inline notation. Table limits cover regular tables, including straightforward multipage tables. Complex work needs a file review.
Are figures and references included?
Yes. Inserting and formatting supplied figures and references is included, without separate numerical caps. I can organise BibTeX entries from the details you provide. Redrawing figures, researching references and checking their scientific accuracy are separate tasks.
What does a revision include?
Revisions cover adjustments within the agreed content, template and scope: 2 for Basic, 3 for Standard and 4 for Premium. Errors I introduce are corrected without using a revision. New content or a different template may require an additional quote.
Do I need to contact you before ordering?
You can order directly if your document fits the package limits and uses a standard layout or supplied working template. Contact me first for scans, handwriting, complex tables, extensive equations, new template design, compilation repairs or figure redrawing.
What if my document exceeds the package limits?
Additional ordinary pages are $5 per 5 pages when the equation, table and layout workload remains comparable. For substantial extra mathematical or formatting work, send the file for a quote before ordering.
How will we communicate?
All communication is through Fiverr messages. You can send instructions, files, screenshots and error logs there. Calls or video meetings are not required.
