I will statistically validate your trading strategy and prove if it has real edge
Algorithmic Trading Systems and Strategy Validation
About this Gig
DOES YOUR STRATEGY HAVE A REAL EDGE, OR DOES YOUR BACKTEST JUST LOOK GOOD?
Most backtests are lies. Not because people cheat, but because a rising equity curve can come from luck, from overfitting, or from a bug in how orders get filled. I recently found a strategy showing a Profit Factor of 3.55 that collapsed to 0.94 once fills were made realistic. Same data, same signals: the edge never existed.
I run the statistical validation used by quantitative funds and give you a straight answer: keep it, fix it, or drop it.
WHAT YOU GET
- Permutation test: the probability your results are luck
- Out-of-sample split: does the edge survive on unseen data?
- Walk-forward analysis (Standard and Premium)
- Fill and execution audit: the top source of fake profits
- Drawdown, Profit Factor and expectancy, honestly computed
- A written report with a clear verdict
I need your strategy rules or code, the market and the timeframe. Your logic stays confidential.
WHY ME: I run a live algo trading system on 8 crypto pairs, 54,000+ lines of Python with 70 validation scripts. Several of my own strategies failed these same tests.
I tell you what the numbers say, not what you hope to hear.

FAQ
Will you tell me if my strategy will make money?
No, and be wary of anyone who promises that. I tell you whether your results are statistically distinguishable from luck, whether the edge survives on unseen data, and whether your backtest has execution flaws. Sometimes the honest answer is that the strategy has no edge. That answer is worth more
Is my strategy safe? Will you use it yourself?
No. Your rules and code stay confidential, are used only for your analysis, and are never reused, resold or shared. I run my own systems and have no interest in yours.
How do I send you my strategy?
Any format works: plain rules in writing, Pine Script, MQL4/5, Python, or a screenshot of your settings. If it is clear enough to code, it is clear enough to test. I use public exchange data, so you do not need to send me price data.
What if my strategy fails the tests?
You still get the full report explaining exactly where and why it fails, which is usually the most valuable part. Many strategies fail for a fixable reason: a look-ahead bias, unrealistic fills, or parameters tuned to one specific period.
Do you only work with crypto?
Crypto is where I run my live systems, but the validation method is market-agnostic. I work with forex, stocks, futures and indices as long as reliable historical data is available for the market and timeframe.
