In the book we had to struggle a lot with scale. How to get all the characters scaled correctly against each other. She was very creatively in solving this so our little village of blueberries could exist in the Sam world as lions!

She follows up quickly with feedback and will even go back to previous pages to add things as book evolves. Wonderful to work together.

Leona understands the full project. We agreed one important change and she went back and changed several other pages on her own to fit the new change. This commitment to the whole project not just a single page is so vital for a partnership to work.

Love that she pushes back: it feels like a partnership and she’ll tell you when your ideas won’t work as an illustration.
