I will fix android app UI bugs cut off text and broken layouts
About this Gig
Your app looks fine on your phone. On a tablet, at 200% font, or in an RTL language, buttons cut off text, labels overflow, and screens stop scrolling.
I ship my own Android apps on Google Play and fix these layout bugs in them.
On Standard and Premium I check:
- Phone, tablet, portrait and landscape
- 200% font and the largest display size
- RTL: mirroring, icons, alignment
- Long text (German, Russian, Hindi)
- Keyboard covering fields, screens that do not scroll
- Dark mode and content under the system bars
Basic is a report on up to 5 phone screens: 200% font, RTL and the keyboard. No code changes.
You get a screenshot of every issue, what causes it, and how to fix it. On Standard and Premium I push the fixes to a new branch, with before and after shots.
From my own app: a fingerprint button with a fixed width and height clipped its label. Full width and a minimum height let it grow with the text.
Order Standard if you want the code changed, not only a list.
Fixes are Kotlin or Java, Compose or XML. I can test Flutter or React Native and send the report. Ask before you order fixes for those. No new features, no redesigns, no iOS.

FAQ
What counts as one fix?
One layout bug on one screen. Examples: a clipped button, a field hidden by the keyboard, text overlapping at 200% font. A new screen, a redesign, or a crash in your app logic is not one fix.
What do you need from me?
An APK, a Play Store link, or an internal testing invite. For code fixes: GitHub, GitLab, or a zip of a project that already builds in Android Studio, plus the branch to use. I return fixes on a new branch.
My project does not build. Can you still fix it?
Message me before you order. Making a broken Gradle project compile is separate work.
Do you test on real devices?
Yes. I test on a real Android phone and check every screen at tablet, foldable and landscape sizes, with large fonts and different languages.
Do you handle Play Store rejections or target SDK updates?
If the rejection is a UI problem I can reproduce, like content under the system bars or text cut off at a large font, yes, on Standard or Premium. Target SDK upgrades, Data safety forms and policy appeals are not part of this gig.
My app is only in English. Is this still useful?
Yes. Screen sizes, font scaling, the keyboard and dark mode break English-only apps too. The RTL and long-text checks matter once you plan to translate.
Do you test iOS apps?
No. This gig is Android only.
My app is built with Flutter or React Native.
I can test it and send the report. Ask before you order fixes for those.
