About this gig
Need a Civil 3D site grading plan for a yard, pad or operational site that must hold a strict slope limit and still drain properly? I design finished grade surfaces and site plans for industrial and operational yards, laydown and storage areas, truck and container yards, hardstands and agricultural sites.
What you receive:
- Existing ground surface from your survey points or CAD
- Finished grade surface held to your slope limits (e.g. 2% max, 0.5% min)
- Slope analysis map confirming compliance
- Contours, spot elevations, flow arrows, high and low points
- Drainage integration: swales, channels or inlets with rim and invert levels
- Cut and fill volumes with balance options
- DWG and PDF, plus LandXML on request
My process: data review, grading concept, your comments, final model and sheets.

FAQ
What data do I need to provide?
Your survey (points, CSV, DWG or LAS point cloud), the site boundary, your slope limits, any fixed levels such as building floors, entrances or existing roads, and where the water should discharge.
Can you work in metric units and dunams?
Yes. I work in metric or imperial units and can quote sites in square metres, hectares, dunams, acres or square feet.
How do you confirm the slope limits are met?
Every package includes a slope check. Standard and Premium also include a colour banded slope analysis map, so you can see that every surface stays within your limits.
Do you include stormwater calculations or reports?
I integrate drainage into the grading design, including flow paths, swales, channels, inlets and pipe levels. Formal hydrology reports and permit calculations should be completed or approved by your engineer, and I prepare the design so it is ready for that review.
My site is larger than 5 ha, or I only need volumes. What should I do?
