Will you give useful criticism or just tell me the story is good?
As your beta reader, I explain my reactions with scene references, balancing strengths with practical suggestions. My manuscript critique identifies what affected engagement and why, so you can decide which changes serve your story.
Does this include proofreading, rewriting or developmental editing?
No. This is fiction feedback from a reader's perspective. I assess clarity, engagement and story logic, but do not correct every sentence, rewrite chapters or provide a full developmental edit. Private feedback does not include public Amazon reviews.
Will the feedback suit my genre and intended audience?
This offer focuses on romance, fantasy and romantasy. Tell me the intended age group, subgenre and content warnings. I tailor pacing feedback to your story's promise. Message first about other genres or specialist needs so we can confirm fit.
What exactly will I receive, and will my document contain comments?
Every tier includes a reader report in PDF and editable DOCX. Standard and Premium also include inline comments in your DOCX and chapter feedback. Comments highlight meaningful reactions; they are not line-by-line corrections.
Can I try a chapter before paying for the whole book?
Yes. Basic suits an opening chapter critique or short story critique up to 5,000 words. I assess only the material supplied and flag questions that depend on later chapters. This lets you evaluate my approach before ordering a longer read.
