Updating a Shopify theme can remove the custom code, sections, layouts, and small modifications that make your store work the way it does.
I will handle the complete theme update and preserve the relevant existing customizations. You do not need to know where the code is located or how many changes have been made.

Comparing your current customized theme with the target version
Identifying the customizations that need to remain
Transferring or adapting relevant Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Testing the key storefront areas on desktop and mobile
Delivering the updated theme as an unpublished theme

Do I need to know which customizations my theme contains?
No. You do not need to locate or count the modifications yourself. Send me your current customized theme and the target theme version, and I will identify what needs to be transferred or adapted.
Will my live Shopify store be affected while you work?
No. I work on a duplicate or unpublished theme. Your current live theme remains published and unchanged until you have reviewed the updated version and decide to publish it.
Do I need to provide the new theme version?
Yes. You must own a valid license for any paid theme and provide access to both the current customized theme and the target version. I do not sell, supply, or redistribute premium themes.
What if my theme contains many or complex customizations?
Please contact me before ordering. I will review the current and target themes first. If the update is unusually complex, I will explain the additional scope and send you a custom offer for the complete project.
What does “5 pages” mean?
It refers to five representative Shopify page or template types used for testing, such as the home, product, collection, cart, and one additional agreed area. It does not mean that only five individual store pages use the updated theme or set a fixed limit on relevant customizations.
