What is the difference between Beta Reading and Proofreading?
Beta Reading is feedback on the story (plot, characters, pacing). Proofreading is the technical correction of grammar and spelling. This Gig is for Beta Reading ONLY and does not include technical corrections.
What genres do you read?
I specialize in Fiction. My favorites are Fantasy, Horror, Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi, and Mystery. If your genre isn't listed, send me a message!
What exactly is the "Reader Report"?
It's a multi-page PDF document where I break down my feedback into sections (Plot, Characters, Pacing, etc.). It gives you a clear overview of your story's strengths and areas for improvement.
What are "In-line Comments"?
These are my real-time reactions and notes typed directly into your document (using MS Word Comments or Google Docs). This service is included in the Standard and Premium packages and can be added as an extra to the Basic package.
Do you accept manuscripts with mature themes (e.g., violence, erotica)?
Yes, I am open to reading manuscripts with mature content. However, please send me a message first to briefly describe the themes so we can ensure it's a good fit.
