I will secure your network, firewall, windows or linux server
Full Stack Developer and IT Infrastructure Specialist
About this Gig
Most small companies have a network that grew by accident: everyone on one flat network, a router nobody configured, backups that may or may not run, and a server only one person understands.
I'm a systems engineer and that is exactly what I did full time: I ran the entire IT infrastructure of a manufacturing company on my own. 25 users, Windows Server and Linux, a Fortinet firewall I implemented from scratch with VLANs and VPN, automated backups, CCTV and access control. Average incident resolution went from 4 hours to under 1.
WHAT I CAN DO REMOTELY
- Firewall setup: rules, VLANs, site-to-site or client VPN
- - Windows Server or Linux: users, permissions, shares, roles
- - Automated backups that you can actually restore from
- - Hardening: closing what should never have been open
- - Documentation so you are not dependent on me afterwards
HOW I WORK
I ask what you have before touching anything, and I tell you what I'm going to change before I change it. Nothing gets modified in production without you knowing.
CCNA 1 and 2. I work in GMT-6 and I reply fast.
Tell me what you have and what is failing, and I'll tell you honestly if it can be done remotely.

FAQ
Can you really do all this remotely?
Most of it, yes: firewalls, servers, VPN, backups and permissions are all managed remotely every day. What I cannot do remotely is physical work like running cable or mounting hardware. Tell me your situation and I'll say up front what needs someone on site.
How do I give you access without handing over my whole company?
Create a temporary admin account only for this job, and delete it when we finish. I document every change I make so you can audit or undo it. I never ask for your personal passwords and I don't keep any access after the order closes.
Do you work with Fortinet only?
Fortinet is what I implemented and ran day to day, so that is where I'm strongest. The concepts are the same on pfSense, MikroTik or a Ubiquiti setup and I work with those too. Tell me your brand and model before ordering and I'll confirm honestly.
