Which firewall/network vendors do you support?
Primarily FortiGate (Fortinet NSE-certified) and Cisco environments (CCNA). Message me if you're on a different vendor — happy to check compatibility before you order.
Do I need to give you remote access?
Yes — via VPN, AnyDesk/TeamViewer, or SSH, whatever your policy allows. NDA available on request.
What if the change turns out bigger than expected once you start?
I'll pause, explain what changed in scope, and send a custom offer before continuing — no surprise work, no surprise charges.
Do you need a maintenance window, or can changes be done anytime?
Depends on the tier — Basic/Standard changes can usually be done anytime with minimal risk; Premium changes (perimeter firewall, core network) should ideally be scheduled in a maintenance window. Tell me your constraints and I'll adapt.
What do you need from me before we start?
Device vendor/model + firmware version, a network diagram if you have one, and a clear description of the change you want. There's a Requirements section on the order form for this.
Can you guarantee zero downtime?
I plan every change with a rollback path specifically to minimize risk, but no network engineer can guarantee zero downtime on a live system — that's exactly why the rollback plan exists.
