About this Gig
With a focus on plotting, pace, characters, world-building, and tone, I will read your manuscript and supply thorough feedback with an overall write-up, along with inline notes throughout the text (if a google or word doc is supplied). The reader report will be detailed, looking from both a reader and author perspective. I will also make use of the google doc or word commenting feature to leave my reactions as I go along, and correct any grammar or spelling issues I spot.
My feedback will be detailed, and I will include comments on:
- Individual Character Impressions
- Plotting: flow, pacing, twists, interest
- World-building/ Setting: not just for fantasy, discussions of the world you have created around your characters
- Writing Style: including advice on improvements and a line edit
- Tone: does it fit the genre? Is your voice/ your characters voice strong?
- Overview: including strengths/ weaknesses and brief summary
- Any particular questions you have
I read manuscripts of all fiction genres and lengths (no non-fiction), just get in touch if you'd like to confirm we're a good fit.

Yes, of course, just get in touch. I'm happy to read longer works.
How do I supply my manuscript?
You can send me a copy of the word docx or a google doc link. I prefer working with word doc to make use of the inline comments feature, but I'm flexible.
What will your feedback look like?
Along with the inline comments, I supply a report that will typically be broken down as follows: CHARACTERS PLOT/PACING WORLD BUILDING WRITING STYLE GENERAL COMMENTS Each section will include detailed notes, and I will add other sections if I feel it's necessary.
What genres do you read?
I'm happy to read all genres apart from memoirs/non-fiction and anything overtly religious. Including 18+ and trigger heavy works. Just drop me a message if you aren't sure.
My manuscript is fiction, but not a novel, can we work together?
Please get in touch first if your work is something other than a novel, for example a script or poetry.
Will you read works written by AI?
Absolutely not, I am very against generative AI in creative spaces and won't be a good fit for you.
