FAQ
What is Google Play closed testing?
Google Play closed testing lets developers release an app to a controlled group before making it publicly available. For new personal developer accounts, Google requires at least 12 testers to remain opted in continuously for a minimum of 14 days before the developer can apply in production.
What does your 14-day closed testing service include?
I help you complete the Google Play Console closed testing period with ongoing tester participation throughout the required 14 days. I can also provide feedback, testing observations, and guidance around the Play Console testing process.
Do testers need to use my app every day for 14 days?
Yes, because Google specifically requires the minimum number of testers to remain opted in continuously for at least 14 days.
What feedback can I receive during closed testing?
Depending on the package and your testing requirements, feedback can cover user experience, functionality, bugs, crashes, usability issues, device compatibility, and suggestions for improvement. You can also tell me specific features or flows you want evaluated.
What do you need from me to start?
I normally need: Your Google Play closed-testing opt-in link Any installation or login instructions Features or user flows you want evaluated Any specific testing requirements or feedback questions Always contact me first to discuss your project.
Will completing 14 days of closed testing guarantee Google Play approval?
No. Completing Google's testing requirement allows eligible developers to apply for production access, but Google still reviews the information you provide about your app, closed test, feedback, and production readiness. Final approval is controlled by Google.
I'm new to Google Play testing. Can you manage the process for me?
Yes. I can guide you through the Google Play Console closed-testing process, help you understand the required setup, coordinate the testing period, and explain the next steps toward applying for production access. You will still retain control of your developer account and app.
