Turn a messy spreadsheet export into a clean, checked dataset you can use with confidence.
For one CSV of up to 100 rows and 10 columns, I will:
- Standardise spacing, text case and agreed date or number formats.
- Identify duplicates using your chosen matching columns.
- Flag missing values, invalid entries and conflicting records.
- Deliver a cleaned CSV, duplicate report, exceptions report and row-count summary.
Every input row is accounted for. Your original file is preserved, and uncertain values are flagged for your decision.
Send a non-sensitive sample before ordering so we can agree the rules. Excel and Google Sheets users can export a plain-data tab as CSV. Larger files can be scoped separately after review.
The package includes one correction round for the agreed file and rules. Formulas, macros, PDF extraction and external data enrichment require a separate scope. Please remove sensitive personal records. The gallery example uses synthetic demonstration data.
FAQ
Can I send an Excel or Google Sheets file?
Please export the relevant plain-data tab as CSV first. This package does not preserve workbook formatting, formulas, macros or multiple tabs.
Will you fill every blank or fix every value?
Only when the correct value follows an agreed rule or a reference you provide. Unknowns, ambiguous dates and conflicting records appear in the exceptions report.
How are duplicates handled?
We agree the matching columns first. Exact duplicates are documented; conflicting matches are flagged for your decision. The original file is preserved.
What does one revision cover?
One correction round for the original file under the agreed rules. New files, extra rows or changed rules require a separate scope.
What will I receive?
A cleaned CSV, duplicate and exceptions CSV reports, and a short summary reconciling every input row. You can open the CSV files in Excel or Google Sheets.
Can you handle a larger dataset?
Yes, after reviewing a non-sensitive sample, the file size and your rules. Message me before ordering so we can agree the scope, delivery time and price. The Basic package covers 100 rows and 10 columns.
Is the example from a client?
No. The gallery uses an invented 12-row dataset to demonstrate the method. It contains no client information or testimonial.
