What is an "element" in a print design?
An element refers to a distinct motif or object used in a print—such as a flower, fruit, animal, or abstract shape. It can also include decorative details like dots, stripes, or textures if they are separate and intentional parts of the design.
How is the number of element counted in a print?
To quantify it, we count each unique object or motif. For example, if your print includes 5 different types of flowers and 3 butterflies, that would be 8 elements total. Repeating or resizing the same element doesn’t increase the count—only new, unique motifs are counted.
