An alpha reader is someone who reads and provides critique as the book is being written. If you plan to publish a 700-chapter story as a webnovel, this is the gig for you. If you've hit a brick wall of a writer's block and just want some feedback, this is the gig for you.
Alpha readers provide thoughts about plot and style, and can be used as sounding boards for ideas about where the story is going.
No editing, no proofreading, just opinions!

FAQ
What's the difference between an alpha reader and a beta reader?
A beta reader takes your completed manuscript and gives all their opinions on it. An alpha reader eagerly watches over your shoulder as you write, giving opinions and trying to guess what happens next.
What formats do you accept?
Anything that can be opened with Microsoft Word. Or a Google Docs link.
What if my story is longer than 55k words?
If you plan on publishing to RoyalRoad.com, I'll accept up to 55,555 words (that's what their contest requires). If you have less than 100 words over the limit for any package, I'll take it no worries. Anything else, tell me the number and I'll send you a custom offer.
I have three chapters written, can I hire you for future chapters, too?
Sure! I'll keep tabs on your wordcount and let you know when to "recharge".
What's a "Revision" in this context?
Imagine this: You give me your latest chapter. I read it and mention that, thus far, all your orcs have spoken like toothless Alabamans, but the orc in this chapter speaks normally. A day later you send a revised chapter back to me, and I happily check the revised dialogue for proper hick-ness.
Have you published anything so I can check you're legit?
Why in fact I have! The title of my story is: Reincarnated into a Time-Loop Dungeon as a LVL 100 Catgirl Chef! If the title alone doesn't show that I know LitRPGs, I don't know what will.
