FAQ
What's the difference between a beta reader and an alpha reader?
An alpha reader reads as the story is being written, giving opinions as each chapter is completed. A beta reader takes the whole, completed manuscript and not only gives opinions, but checks for consistency and marketability as well.
What formats do you accept?
Anything that can be opened with Microsoft Word. Or a Google Docs link.
What if my story is longer than 55k words?
If you plan on publishing to RoyalRoad.com, I'll accept up to 55,555 words (that's what their contest requires). If you have less than 100 words over the limit for any package, I'll take it no worries. Anything else, tell me the number and I'll send you a custom offer.
What's a "Revision" in this context?
Imagine this: You give me your manuscript. I read it and mention that, mostly, your orcs speak like toothless Alabamans, but the orc in Chapter 17 speaks like a normal person. A day later you send a revised chapter back to me, and I happily check the revised dialogue for proper hick-ness.
Have you published anything so I can check you're legit?
Why in fact I have! The title of my story is: Reincarnated into a Time-Loop Dungeon as a LVL 100 Catgirl Chef! If the title alone doesn't show that I know LitRPGs, I don't know what will.
