Not like JPG or PNG format, when you have source/vector files you can do modifications to the design in future.

The major benefit of having a vector file means that it can be scaled and resized and will remain smooth at the edges. When you resize raster graphics (JPEGs, PNGs and PSDs) they can appear more pixilated when sized up or down. Using vector file as a ‘master’ you can create all other image types.
