I build around the way FDM actually prints: wall thickness, clearances, hole fit, print orientation, overhangs, support reduction, layer strength, assembly, and material requirements. The goal is a model you can slice, print, test, and improve with confidence.
I can work from:

- STL/STEP files that need modification
- PCB or component dimensions
- product references and written requirements
Depending on your project, you can receive STL/3MF for printing, STEP or native CAD for further development, plus technical drawings or assembly files when included.

Can you design a part specifically for FDM printing?
Yes. I design around FDM constraints such as wall thickness, clearances, orientation, overhangs, support requirements and functional strength.
I only have a sketch. Can you work from that?
Yes. A sketch plus dimensions and a description of how the part should function is enough to begin many projects.
Can you recreate a broken or discontinued part?
Yes. Send clear photos and measurements of the part. Existing STL/STEP files are also welcome.
Can you modify an existing STL?
Yes. I can resize, add features, change dimensions, modify mounting points, improve fit or rebuild the geometry as editable CAD where appropriate.
Can you design electronics enclosures?
Yes. I can design housings around PCB, connector, screw, button, display and component dimensions.
Do you provide STL and STEP?
Yes. The included formats depend on the package. STL/3MF are suitable for printing, while STEP/native CAD can support further product development.
Can you design jigs and fixtures for FDM?
Yes. I can design drilling guides, positioning fixtures, assembly aids, mounts and other functional tooling.
Can you guarantee a perfect first print?
For highly precise functional fits, a test print may be necessary because printer calibration, material and slicer settings affect the final dimensions. I design with those variables in mind and can revise critical features based on test results.
Do you also physically print the part?
This gig focuses on CAD design and print-ready files. Physical printing can be discussed separately if required.
Should I order directly?
For simple parts, yes. For complex assemblies, tight tolerance components or projects involving multiple parts, message me first so the scope and package can be matched correctly.
