I only have a sketch or rough idea. Can you work from that?
Yes. You can send a hand sketch, image, PDF, dimensions, or reference model. I’ll review what you have and let you know what information is needed before starting.
Can you work with an existing CAD model that needs changes?
Yes. If you already have a model that needs dimensions changed, parts added, or certain areas modified, send it over with the changes you need.
What files can I send you?
You can send common CAD and reference formats such as STEP, STL, IGES, SLDPRT, PDF, DWG, DXF, images, and sketches. If you have a different format, message me first.
Do I need to provide the material and loading conditions for FEA?
For an accurate analysis, I’ll need the available material information, loads, supports, and other relevant conditions. If you're unsure about something, send me the project details first so we can work out what is available.
Can you analyze a CAD model I already have without redesigning it?
Yes. If your existing model is suitable for the requested analysis, I can work from it instead of creating the model again from scratch.
Can you explain the FEA results to me?
Yes. I can provide the relevant results and explain what the stress, deformation, strain, or factor of safety results mean for the specified simulation conditions.
Can you handle a complete project instead of only one part?
Yes, depending on the project size. If your work involves multiple components, assemblies, CAD modeling, drawings, and FEA, send the project details first so the scope can be discussed properly.
What if I don't know which package I need?
That's fine. Send me what you're trying to design or analyze, along with any files you have, and we can determine which package fits the actual work required.
Can you make changes after I review the first version?
Yes. Revisions are included according to the package you select. For major changes that alter the original project scope, we can discuss the additional work before proceeding.
