For the past two years, I have worked as a Pattern Maker at AFC Fashion Wear Ltd, where I carried full responsibility for the sample development process. From the first sketch to the final approved sample, I ensured accuracy, creativity, and production feasibility. My role was unique because I not only drafted and refined patterns but also maintained direct contact with customers, discussing their requirements, clarifying technical details, and guiding them through fabric and design choices. This strengthened client trust and positioned me as both a technical expert and creative consultant. Once samples were approved, I collaborated closely with merchandisers to manage orders through to shipment. This required coordinating production schedules, grading patterns for multiple sizes, and solving technical challenges to ensure smooth workflow. I acted as a bridge between design and production, guaranteeing that garments met both aesthetic and technical standards. Beyond design, I also took responsibility for office cost management, tracking fabric usage, tool expenses, and overall resource allocation. By keeping costs under control, I contributed to the company’s efficiency and profitability. During my time at AFC Fashion Wear Ltd, I successfully developed numerous samples that transitioned into full production orders, built strong client relationships, and streamlined processes to reduce development time. This experience allowed me to grow into a versatile professional capable of handling end‑to‑end fashion production tasks — from creative design and technical drafting to customer communication and cost control.
