As part of the platform stability & license cost savings agenda ,Led and implemented open- source Linux on all our application components like Apache , Tomcat , SFTP , MySQL , Zabbix , Nginx , HA-Keepalived with substantial cost savings. In addition , this platform provided Enterprise-grade stability and security. Implemented Zabbix for server monitoring , performance management and established secure access to the monitoring dashboard by installing a Certbot-issued SSL/TLS1.2+ certificate. Apache with SSL (OpenSSL and Let's Encrypt integration) , SSL-Handshake-IPBased,DNS and Ansible playbook written. Managed 20+ RHEL servers, delivering 99.9% uptime through regular patching and performance tuning (due care and due diligence). Followed and implemented the Change Advisory Board (CAB) instruction. Set up DNS, NFS and SAMBA for 2000+ users, speeding up file access by 25%. Used LVM to scale storage , CRON , SSH , Samba , cutting provisioning time by 40%. Automated disk cleanup and quota enforcement with Bash scripts, saving 10 hours/week for the team. Cleared cache/buffer and stopped unwanted services, boosting server performance by 20%. OS hardening based on CIS Benchmarks . CIS Level 1 and 2 hardening. AWS (EC2, VPC, S3, ELB, EBS, RDS, Route53, CloudWatch,IAM), security groups, subnets. Manage backups and recovery. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), kernel tuning, LVM, fstab, disk management. System monitoring, process management, load balancing ,HA. YUM/RPM, CRON, MySQL (MariaDB), Apache, Nginx for reverse proxy , Disaster Recovery. Standards: ISO 27001,27017,27018 , CIS Top 18 Controls (hands-on). OWASP Top Ten Web Application Security Risks , ZAP and Burp suite for VAPT.
