Do I need to provide my own Stripe account?
Yes. You'll need to create your Stripe account and complete the verification (business info, bank details, tax forms). I can guide you on where to find the API keys once it's ready, but I can't set up the account on your behalf for security reasons.
Will this work in Stripe test mode before going live?
Yes, always. I build and test everything in Stripe test mode first, verify the webhook events fire correctly, then give you clear handoff notes for switching to live mode. You'll see it working end-to-end before any real money moves.
Can you fix my existing Stripe integration instead of building from scratch?
Yes. Webhook failures, broken subscription states, missed payment events, and incorrect billing logic are common. Message me with what's happening and I'll let you know if it fits the gig scope or needs a custom quote.
What's not included?
PCI compliance audits, tax calculation logic beyond Stripe Tax basics, and migration of existing customer data between billing systems. These are possible but need a custom scope, so message me first if any apply to your project.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your app stack, a description of the payment flow you want (subscriptions, one-time, marketplace, etc.), Stripe API keys in test mode, and access to your codebase if you have an existing app. If you're starting from scratch, just the requirements are fine.
