About me
I'm Melena, a commercial and maritime lawyer. I draft and negotiate contracts for freight forwarders, shipowners, traders, startups and SMEs across the UAE, India, Sri Lanka and the UK. Most recently I worked at a maritime and commercial law firm with offices in Dubai, Chennai and Sri Lanka, handling charterparty disputes, cargo claims, sanctions questions, joint ventures and commercial agreements. I hold an LLM in International Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of York. You get clear, enforceable drafting, plus a plain English note on what each key clause means for you.... This is our first time working with Melena and we'll definitely work with her again. She is an excellent communicator. She did a great job for us for the task we gave her. She made a great list with clear notes for us, and she even caught an important point about a company similar to ours. Very happy with her performance and we highly recommend.
