I'm a second-year CS student, and I learn Java and C# by building things rather than just reading about them. So far that's meant a console chatbot and a couple of desktop applications, all built around OOP principles — abstraction, encapsulation, layered architecture. I'm now taking that same approach into freelancing on Fiverr, turning coursework into projects clients can actually use.
