I worked as a book formatter and publishing assistant for Harmony Institute in Lagos, where I handled the formatting and preparation of books for Amazon KDP and print publishing. My role involved organizing manuscripts, designing clean interior layouts, adjusting typography, and ensuring every book met publishing standards for both digital and print formats. One of the biggest experiences I gained during this period was working with authors who submitted unstructured manuscripts with inconsistent spacing, margins, headings, and page breaks. I learned how to professionally restructure content, improve readability, and maintain design consistency across hundreds of pages without losing the author’s original message and style. I also collaborated with graphic designers and authors during the publishing process, helping to prepare print ready PDF files, EPUB conversions, and properly formatted manuscripts for KDP approval. Through this experience, I developed strong attention to detail, better problem solving skills, and a deeper understanding of professional book production and publishing workflows.
