Through a Fellowship, I worked with The Santa Monica Office of Sustainability and the Environment on community outreach for a recently approved community garden. I created the outreach graphics that were distributed throughout the neighborhood and a postcard that was delivered to locals that engaged 15+ people. We used online forms to conduct surveys to gather feedback from the local community about their garden ideas. Other tasks I worked on included sustainability procurement and observing a green business certification. As well as working with the city's Resource Recovery and Recycling division on educational outreach materials such as kitchen compost pail inserts and trash truck ads regarding organics recycling.
