FAQ
Do I need to give you full access to my network?
No. You create the accounts and keep ownership from day one. I work over a screen-share session or through a temporary admin login that you create and revoke when we are done. Every change I make is written down in your documentation.
Are there ongoing subscription or license costs?
Usually none. Tailscale's free tier covers 3 users and 100 devices, and WireGuard is free, open-source software you host yourself. I do not sell licenses or lock you in. If your team outgrows the free tier, I will tell you exactly what the paid plan costs before you commit.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your router or firewall model, your ISP (so I can spot CGNAT or Starlink), what you need to reach remotely, and how many people need access. The order requirements walk you through all of it - about ten minutes to answer.
What happens after delivery? Am I on my own?
You get plain-English documentation written for your exact setup, and you own every config, script, and admin account. Premium includes 14 days of direct support. After that I am available for follow-up work - but the docs are written so you rarely need me.
Will this work with my existing router?
Almost always. I integrate directly with pfSense, OpenWrt, and GL.iNet, and most other routers can sit untouched behind a small subnet-router device. If anything needs buying (rarely more than a $50 single-board computer), I will say so before you spend a dollar.
Tailscale or WireGuard - which one should I pick?
Tailscale for most teams: no port forwarding, works behind CGNAT, easy to add users. Plain WireGuard with a web management UI (Premium) when you want everything self-hosted on your own hardware. Not sure? Message me and I will recommend one in a sentence.
