Usually a PHP fatal error from a plugin or theme conflict, a low memory limit, or a bad code snippet. I turn on WP_DEBUG, read the log with Query Monitor and cPanel, isolate the exact file and line, then fix the code — including custom PHP, jQuery, AJAX, React and Node.js work.
Can you fix "Error establishing a database connection"?
Yes. I check the wp-config.php credentials, repair corrupted tables in phpMyAdmin, confirm the MySQL user and host, and look for a crashed database in cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin or WHM. If the database is beyond repair I restore it from your most recent clean backup.
My site broke after an update. Can you roll it back without losing content?
Yes. I take a fresh UpdraftPlus or host-level backup first, then roll back the specific plugin or theme version rather than the whole site, so your posts, orders and media stay intact. Then I test the update on a staging copy before reapplying it.
