I will do injection mold, plastic parts, enclosure, casing design using solidworks

About this gig
Mechanical design engineer with 7+ years of industry experience creating production tooling. I perform injection mold design and plastic part optimization using SolidWorks CAD design for seamless manufacturing. My focus is turning initial 3D CAD concepts into tooling-ready plastic components with zero draft errors.
Services I Offer:
- * Core and cavity separation with draft angle analysis
- * Plastic part redesign for uniform wall thickness
- * Runner, gate, and ejection system modeling
- * Complex surface modeling and enclosure design
- * Production 2D technical drawings for toolmakers
Tools I Use:
- SolidWorks, Autodesk Moldflow, Rhino 3D, KeyShot
- File Formats Delivered: STEP, IGES, SLDPRT, SLDDRW, X_T, PDF, DWG
Why Work With Me?
* Unlimited Revisions
* Tooling-first mindset preventing sink marks and warpage
* Direct alignment with CNC and toolmaker tolerances

FAQ
What files or details do I need to supply to begin my injection mold design?
I need your initial 3D CAD files (STEP, IGES, or SLDPRT), a brief explanation of the part function, and the intended plastic resin material. If you only have hand sketches or physical reference samples, send dimensional drawings or clear images so we can review geometry requirements first.
Which CAD software will be used to construct my mold model?
I complete all native parametric modeling in SolidWorks. You will receive clean native SLDPRT and SLDDRW files alongside universally compatible STEP and IGES formats suitable for CNC machining.
How do you verify that my plastic part geometry is ready for mold building?
I perform a complete DFM check evaluating draft angles, wall thickness variations, undercut conditions, and shut-off surfaces. Any areas risking sink marks or ejection binding are identified and resolved prior to parting line split.
Can you incorporate slides, lifters, or unscrewing cores for complex undercut features?
Yes. For parts with external or internal undercuts, I design mechanical sliders, angle pins, and lifter assemblies into the mold base to enable automated part ejection.
Do you factor resin shrinkage rates directly into the final mold cavity sizing?
Yes. I apply material-specific linear thermal shrinkage factors (e.g., ABS, Polypropylene, Polycarbonate) to scale the core and cavity geometry accurately before finalizing CAD models.
My plastic part model currently has zero draft angles. Can you fix it?
Yes. I can modify your existing 3D CAD geometry to add proper draft angles (typically 1° to 2°) while preserving critical functional dimensions and fit checks.
